Modern Slavery Statement
Man with Van Holborn Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps taken by Man with Van Holborn to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We are committed to conducting business in a responsible, transparent, and ethical manner, and to upholding the fundamental rights and dignity of every person involved in our services.
Modern slavery is a serious crime and a gross violation of human rights. It can take many forms, including forced labour, debt bondage, human trafficking, and exploitation of vulnerable individuals. Man with Van Holborn recognises that the transport and logistics sector can be exposed to such risks and we are determined to ensure they have no place in our organisation.
Zero-Tolerance Policy
Man with Van Holborn maintains a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not tolerate, condone, or in any way support the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour, or any form of exploitation of children or vulnerable adults in our operations or within our supply chains.
All employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers are expected to act with integrity and in compliance with this policy. Any breach of this policy by an employee may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Any breach by a supplier or contractor may result in the termination of our commercial relationship.
Our Supply Chains and Supplier Audits
Our supply chains primarily include vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging providers, and subcontracted logistics partners. We seek to work only with reputable suppliers who share our values and commitment to ethical practices.
As part of our due diligence process, we assess the risk of modern slavery in our supply chains and take steps to verify that our partners operate in accordance with applicable labour and human rights laws. This includes reviewing supplier policies where available, asking targeted questions about their employment practices, and reserving the right to request further information if concerns arise.
We are developing and enhancing a programme of supplier audits and checks aimed at confirming that suppliers are not engaged in modern slavery or human trafficking. Where appropriate, we may require confirmation of compliance with relevant legislation, review evidence of worker protections, or conduct site visits. If a supplier is unable or unwilling to demonstrate adequate standards, we will consider corrective actions or discontinuing the relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Reporting Channels
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our workforce. Employees with responsibility for procurement, supplier management, and recruitment are made aware of the signs of modern slavery and how to respond if they have concerns. We encourage an open culture in which staff feel able to speak up without fear of retaliation.
Man with Van Holborn provides clear internal reporting channels so that any suspicions or concerns about modern slavery can be raised promptly. Employees can report issues to their line manager or to senior management. Concerns will be treated seriously, handled sensitively, and investigated where appropriate. We will act swiftly to address any confirmed or suspected instance of modern slavery connected to our business.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that combating modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility and that our approach must evolve as risks and best practices develop. To support continuous improvement, we regularly consider how to strengthen our processes, training, and supplier engagement.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed on an annual basis by the senior management of Man with Van Holborn. The review considers any new risks identified, feedback from staff and suppliers, developments in legislation and guidance, and the effectiveness of our existing measures. Where necessary, we update our policies and procedures to enhance our safeguards against modern slavery and human trafficking.
This Statement reflects the commitment of Man with Van Holborn to act ethically, to respect human rights, and to work towards the elimination of modern slavery in all its forms within our operations and supply chains.
